Veterinarian

Dr. Carlson graduated from the Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine in May 1986.  He began his career in Coraopolis Pennsylvania where he practiced general small animal medicine and surgery for four years.  In 1990 Dr. Carlson joined the Campus Veterinary Clinic practice.  In 2003 he became owner. 

After joining Campus Dr. Carlson began to develop a special interest in veterinary dentistry.  Dr. Carlson has completed additional training in advanced dental techniques.  Campus Veterinary Clinic accepts dental refferals from the entire Rocky Mountain Region.

Amy

Our full-time technician is a native of Colorado. Amy graduated from the Bel-Rea Institute of Veterinary Technology in 2004 and has worked in general small animal medicine. She has two chubby kitties and a Golden Retriever/Great Pyrenees mix– yes he’s big! Amy enjoys snowboarding, waterskiing and horseback riding.

Joanne C.V.T.

Our part-time techinician is a native of the Washington D.C. area and graduated from the Bel-Rea Institute of Veterinary Technology and passed the Veterinary Technician National Exam in 2000.  She began her veterinary career in a small town in Virginia in 1998 moved to Colorado in 1999.  She has worked with everything small from fish(!) and pocket pets to dogs and cats. Joanne is currently a student pursuing her degree in Biology. She has one crazy kitty, a Miniature Dachshund, a Husky mix and a Schnauzer mix. Joanne enjoys photography and taking her pack to the dog park.

Scott

Our full-time veterinary assistant grew up in a small farming community in Michigan and moved to Denver in 1998. He received his B.S. in Biology with a Chemistry minor from the Metropolitan State College of Denver in 2005. He then worked for four years in the public sector as a wildlife biologist, researching and monitoring Threatened, Endangered and Sensitive species of the American west. Currently Scott is pursuing admission into a Veterinary Medicine program with an emphasis in Parasitology. He has two loveable yet spoiled dogs, Sam and Izzie. His hobbies include camping, hiking, fly fishing and organic urban farming.
